President and initiator of Komunitas Association, Miruna is and urban anthropologist with research conducted in the following areas: disadvantaged communities in Romania, alternative housing and communities in Berlin, youth subcultures (Romania), oral history of the Romanian village 2 May (Constanta district).

Within the organization, Miruna performs several roles: project coordination, management, consultancy, training, strategy development, project writing and grant applying, building partnerships, creating educational materials, working with teenagers as a trainer of urban education. With colleagues or collaborators, Miruna has built innovative alternative education programs for young people in schools and colleges from Romania. Miruna has coordinated the first Urban education guide for youngsters in Romania, published in 2011.
